L.A. WritingPrologue One day many years ago the Norse, Egyptians, Greeks, and Atlantians had a colossal war. Whatever race won the war was the ruler of the world. Of course the Egyptians had the power of a very powerful priest. He was the son of a god after all. The Atlantians though had Poseidon the god of water, which eliminated all means of water transport, and water attacks. And you can’t forget the Norse having Folstag and his faithful dragon Nidhogg. All four had Heroes of course. The Atlantians had Arkantos who after slaying gargenis become a god. The Greeks of course had the powers of Hades and Zeus who hated each other much but when working together were practically invincible. They also had the deadly titan Cratos. The Norse had Thor the son of Odin who wielded Mjolnir an ax that when thrown would come back to him as long as he was wearing his gloves Jarn Griepr. The Egyptians had could summon up the powers of a pharaoh who had the powers of Ra the sun god. The Atlantians had the powers of a water spirit and the power of Arkantos who when aligned with the Greek was given the power of a demigod. You can’t forget about the titan Prometheus who when he stole fire tricked a god. And the lone army. Not much is know about them except that they are a very deadly army. Once you stood in their way you were marked. Marked was very bad thing it meant you would be hunted and killed at any time. They had once recruited a Greek soldier.Chapter OneThe Lone army moved threw the woods searching for their target. Kratos the leader of the squadron was now the G Squadrons leader. He had received the name from his squads leader when he was recruited it was supposed to represent the same as Zeus’ son Cratos the titan. Having the same name as a titan or god was defying your country and worse off was having the name of a titan or god who’s country you don’t even belong to.“Zeus hit that house make sure no one lives,” Kratos said as a little man about 5 foot in height spreads out from the running squadron and broke through the front door in one blow. He killed everyone in the house but left the house alone.“The house is done but I left it standing we could use it as a hide away or storage unit,” Zeus said from right next to Kratos.“Good job. How much cash did you get though?” Kratos asked as he swung his right arm out and the squadron moved all at once in the direction his arm was pointing.“Well I got this sack of gold but look what else I got,” Zeus pulled a pure gold statue of Cratos out of his pocket.“Perfect we can smelt it down and make a pure gold sword for the master.” Kratos notched an arrow and fired it at the nearby enemy in the tree. The man died in an instant.“Is that our target,” Zeus notched an arrow and pointed it at him.“I believe it is but I want the kill for this one,” Cratos notched another arrow tied a string around it and tied the end around his wrist. He fired the arrow and it glided through the air spinning perfectly. The ‘target’ purposely waited until the arrow was inches from its striking point and made a swift movement, dodging the arrow. Cratos pulled his arm back and re notched the same arrow. Two of his soldiers suddenly appeared on either side of the man, holding him in place. Cratos fired the arrow string till attached. The arrow seams like its in slow motion as it moved through the air. It got to about the ‘target’ and dropped to the ground. “Boy oh boy you’re really toying my patience now. Zeus take out his accomplice in the tree over there.”“I was waiting for you to notice him.” Zeus notched an arrow and tied a string to it the same way Cratos had. He fired the arrow through the stomach of the other man. “You are dead now.” He pulled his wrist back and the person flew through the air and got to right in front of Zeus. Zeus pulled a dagger from his pocket and stabbed him in the arm. A silvery liquid dropped into his blood stream. “You have the scent of my victim now. My snakes will come kill you soon.” The liquid traveled through the man’s blood stream at hyper speed. All of a sudden about one hundred snakes came out of the woods and wrapped them selves around the man. Zeus opened up his mouth and revealed very sharp fangs. He reached his head forward and gulped the man down like a snake wood. His snakes slithered away.Cratos fired another arrow and controlled it with his fingers like it was a puppet. The string wrapped itself around the man. “You’ve experienced my arrow puppet.” The arrow began to laugh as Cratos tightens the string around the man. “Now you die.” He gives the string one final tug and the man exploded, pieces of his dead body flying everywhere. He caught all of his vital organs and stored them in a bag. “Well our target is down. Boys would you like to get some food and check out our new place.”“Hey what the heck.” A faint voice said from the squad.“Oh woops I didn’t mean to forget about you.” Kratos walked over to the girl and gave her a kiss on the cheek.“It’s okay I’m the only girl in your squad.” The girl gave him a hug.“Well let’s move out.” Kratos began to run in front of his squad. “Well we’ll have to report back to our boss soon or we’ll be in big trouble. Zeus go tell boss the target is done and I have his remnants.” Zeus ran off in one direction and Kratos ran along forward secretly holding the woman’s hand into the shadows of the wilderness.

The Scarlet Ibis

In the short story The Scarlet Ibis by James Hurst, the author is saying that all people have a nice side and a mean side. An example from the story is when the brother brings Doodle to the barn and shows him what was his coffin and makes him touch it. He was nice though when he pulled Doodle around all the time even though he disliked it. This theme was important to the story because I think most readers can relate to a situation like this. An example from my life that is similar to this theme happened to me when I’d get mad and frustrated with my little cousin and yell at her. I’d also be nice sometimes though and get her a bowl of ice cream or something. This theme is also similar to a story I have read/ a movie I have seen/a television show I have seen/ a video game I have played because in Day of Defeat: Source I’ll be the captain of the team and I’ll be mean to the people that aren’t doing good but then I’ll help them out. The author probably used this theme in the story because even though you don’t know it you take part in this theme all the time.
