7th/8th Grade Social Thinking Group – 11/4
Not all members were able to join us this week so we practiced our skills playing an cooperative game called “Break the Safe”…the kids were fabulous and really worked hard to play as a team, help each other out and encourage each other. The positive self-talk and comments out-weighed the negative!

5th Grade Social Thinking Group – 11/5
WOW! What a group! We continued to talk about positive and negative self-talk, participated in an activity called “Changing Thoughts, Changing Feelings and then learned a new game called Bamboozle! This game helps the kids to pay attention to “The Big Three” – Vocal Tone, Body Language and Facial Expression. We are looking forward to playing the game again.

3rd/4th Grade Social Thinking Group – 11/6
Another busy group today! Mrs. Jordan joined us today at the request of some of the kids! We explained the group to Mrs. Jordan, reviewed the rules for being in a group and then did an activity with magazine pictures called “Thinking with Your Eyes: What am I looking at, What am I thinking?” We ended the group playing a new game called Cosmic Catch….we had to work hard to “think with our eyes” and work as a team. A fun time was had by all! Many students were caught being a star social detective today!
