Typical Peer Play Group: Today we started a new book! We read Chicka Chicka Boom Boom and colored pictures of the coconut tree! Nice interactions today!
Third Grade Girls Group 1: After sharing Happy Happenings and some lovely music class songs, I asked the girls to discuss the statement: “You can’t judge a book by its cover”. This was the introduction to our new adventure: “What Do You Stand For?” We will be spending the next few weeks working on building our character! Today we took a quick quiz that identified which of the “character muscles” the girls needed to strengthen! Stay tuned!
Third Grade Girls Group 2: Today we started a new adventure. We read the book “Superflex takes on Rock Brain and the Team of Unthinkables” and learned about all the “unthinkables” that could “invade” our brain! Today we focused on Rock Brain: he makes people get stuck on only their ideas, makes people inflexible and rigid and doesn’t let people be good problem solvers. Then we also read “Alexander, Who’s Not (Do you hear me? I mean it!) Going to Move”. The girls were great at identifying which character in the book was the biggest rock brain! We started to explore Superflexible Strategies to defeat Rock Brain and will continue this next week!
Afternoon Preschool: Both Miss Eriksen and I had a fabulous time working with all of the kids during center time today! We love the holiday themed math activities!
