Sadly, I was at a training session this morning and early afternoon…so I missed all of my lunch groups!

Miss Eriksen…assisted by Mr. Wood…. did a wonderful job with ALL lunch groups today!  I heard everyone was fabulous!

Social Thinking Grade 5: The boys were pretty good today….Maybe it was the fidget brains they were given at the beginning of our group!  Our “What did you say? What did you mean?” statement today was: “You are driving me up a wall!!” We also practiced our “Big Three” – Vocal Tone, Body Language and Facial Expression by playing – “Flexible Statements” which is an extension of “Bamboozle”. We discussed how our vocal tone impacts the meaning of what we say.   We continued with the book “Superflex Takes on Glassman and the Team of Unthinkables”  Today we talked about the Superflex Strategy of deciding how big a problem is…..tiny, medium or earthquake problem!  We also learned how to calm our bodies when we are tense.

A very short, but productive day!
