Art Contests
The Peace Poster Contest is now under way. It is sponsored each year by the Lions Club. Rules have been published in Panther Tracks. Students must be 11, 12, or 13 by Nov. 15 to enter. Show me your design and I will provide you with a poster board. Size can range from 13 inches by 20 ins. to 20 x 24. Poster must be flat and rollable. No words or numbers are allowed as this is an international contest. THE THEME IS: The Power of Peace. You will be judged both on your artistic merit and how well you communicate the theme. Contest deadline is mid-October (date not set yet). Hand in posters to Art Room. Please put your name on the back only! There will be 3 winners from PMS, all receiving $25.00. The Pawcatuck Lions Club honors the winners at one of their dinner meetings! The first place winner continues on to regional competition(s). The Grand Prize winner will win $2,500 and a trip to the United Nations Building, NYC, where his/her poster will be displayed! Good luck, artists!
