Yearbook
Sign Up outside the art room door if you are interested in getting photo assignments for the Yearbook. There are no after school meetings. Later in the year 8th grade will meet in the art room during lunch time to do some of the layout. I will have 3 kinds of cameras available, the best one (my only digital) can only be used for in-school shots. I also have cameras for outside use only – no flash (sports, etc.) and I will get some disposable cameras for trips, etc. Students are welcome to use their own cameras (with parental permission only, please!). I will hand out helpful photo hints with each assignment. In general, close ups of one or several people are best. Keep backgrounds simple. Sports shots are best up close. Since sports shots are usually in motion, they tend to be blurry unless you have a “fast shutter” speed on your camera. Otherwise, take a lot of pictures so you have many to choose from. Pictures can be e mailed to me at jbrummund@stoningtonschools.org. We can use flash drives, cds, etc. I can get traditional rolls developed. Parents are also welcome to submit photos from this school year.
Assignments will start by October!
