If you bring up a question during our class discussions I may encourage youto find the answer or information!! You can get stamps for your auction card and/ or extra credit when you come to class the next day with the information and present it to the class!
November- We are learning about Lewis and Clark’s incredible expedition west after the Louisiana Purchase. In small groups you are creating an 1806 newspaper (see the Lewis and Clark Project page). As an extension activity consider one of the following: 1. Write a song about an event or challenge from the journey west, the people they met, the animals they discovered etc. OR 2. Write a play (script) about the trip or an event on the trip! I will help you with the script- come see me!
September-October: After learning about the greenhouse effect and global warming think about what our world might be like in the year 2050. Describe in written (essay) or illustrated (poster) format how the earth could be different. ALSO- think about what changes or innovations might help to reverse this trend.
