Thank you letters should be written to the CCLCE executive director, James Schmidt, Ph.D and the program director, Beth Deluco. Your letter should include what you learned in participating in the program and what it meant to you. I will give you information in class re. how to set up a business letter if you need help. I would like a copy of your letter by Wednesday, January 16th, to check for any errors. I will have copies of the correct business letter format for you to follow. I will then mail the letters in a packet to CCLCE. The address for the Connecticut Consortium for Law & Citizenship Education, Inc. is:

Hello all. This is a reminder that our workshop for your students is next Tuesday, November 8th from 4-8 pm, dinner included, at 30 Bank Street in New Britain. I need to have an accurate count for ordering pizza so I am listing below the schools that have responded and the number attending. If you have changes in numbers or haven’t responded and are planning on coming I need to know ASAP. In addition, if you do not register your team prior to November 10th your school will not be listed on the tshirt. I need orders for tshirts by November 12th. They are $15 each. The order form is a link from our home page. Please order your shirts in one order form for all students. DO NOT have students order their own shirts because if payment is not received for the shirts you and your school will be receiving the bill. Thanks, Beth DeLuco, Assistant Director

Congratulations to the 2007 MMS Mock Trial Team!

We will begin work on the criminal case and the rules and regulations of the Middle School Mock Trial Program mostlyduring Academy time. Please email or call if you have any questions. ————————————————————————————–

I will be working with sixteen interested eighth graders to prepare for the 2007 State of Connecticut Middle School Mock Trial Program this fall. The program is sponsored by the Connecticut Consortium of Law and Citizenship Education (CCLCE).

We will be studying the 2007 case and the CCLCE rules and regulations as students practice their roles as attorneys, witnesses, defendants and more.It is a great opportunity and a lot of fun! I have done the program with middle school students at MMS before but it has been a few years… I am excited about trying it again with students this year.

More information will follow on this page but if you have any initial questions please contact me at school by email (lhartnett@stoningtonschools.org) or call 536-9613. Additional information may also be found at the CCLCE.org website.
