Don’t forget.  3-5 pages of  drafting due on Thursday.  Since we don’t have school on Friday, the book letter will be due on Monday 3/24  Feel free to post book recommendations on the ‘Bookspace’ page on the website.   I hope to be back in school tomorrow.

Do step #3 on Quick Write #4.  Don’t spend any more than 20 minutes on this assignment.   Remember, by body paragraph I mean a paragraph about one of your claims or reasons.  Try to use some of the techniques we talked about to day in class if you can.

Please continue with your ‘Mokita’ assignments.  You should be close to finishing your book by Monday.  By now you should have finished the final draft of your ‘Reaction’ journal entry and should hav ea draft of at least one more journal entry.  We have some creative entries:- original poetry, an advertisement, detailed character map, and a ‘metaphor’ book.

Please continue to work on your workshop items at least 30 minutes each night.  Email with questions or drafts to comment on.   Post at least one paragraph on the website and make a comment on someone else’s draft.

Please work on your reading workshop items for at least 30 minutes.  Your reaction journal entry should be revised tonight and typed if possible.   Fill out the planning sheet on the back of your packet.

We will have the lap top cart next week.  Email or use thumb drive so you can work on the computer in school as well as at home.

Please be ready to do your presentation on the day you signed up. There may be a chance for people to do Garage Band audio files on a one at a time limited basis, so if you forgot your CD today, you can bring it tomorrow. I can’t guarantee you will have time, but you might. We are moving onto a some reading activities. Presentations will happen during the last 10 or 15 minutes.  I will still stay after school to work on Garage Band projects for those who don’t have time in class.

Soundtrack of Your Life writing pieces due date has been changed to Thursday, 11/8/07

We will hand in work at the beginning of class, except for groups 1 and 3 who will have time to finish up.  (they don’t have LA tomorrow)  Be sure to bring all printed drafts and your checklist to class on Thursday.  We will be working on Garage Band and rehearsing your presentations on Thursday and Friday, so bring a CD if you want to work with Garage Band.
