Welcome to today’s afternoon PD!
Good afternoon everybody. Before we really get started here today, please take a moment to consider the picture on the left (you can enlarge it by clicking on it). What do you think it is? What might it mean? Does it make sense at all? Make some predictions and comment your responses below.
Once everyone has commented (you should be able to see the responses both up in front of the room and, if you refresh your browser, on your screen), and we have had an actual discussion with our voices, please read this short, yet hopefully stimulating, article. When you are finished reading/exploring, please comment at the bottom of that page.

to bounce off of what Sharleen said, “It looks like a pad of Post-it paper, but it probably isn’t due to the dark surface. It probably represents that there are several layers to a problem???” I also thought it was post-it notes, but instead of meaning several layers to a problem, maybe several layers to an idea??

Interesting stuff…and the kids always master the technology before adults. By the time adults figure it out, it’s old…and the kids have moved on to something different.

This looks like a stack of Post-It Notes…with one of those eye puzzles on it (where you have to look at it cross-eyed or hold it really close to see a secret message).
